Duralex Universel

Duralex has been producing tempered glass in the French town of Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin since 1945, and the Universel is one of the brand’s original designs. Its timeless, slightly tapered shape feels comfortable in the hand and has barely changed over the years. It’s no coincidence that this glass is copied worldwide, but you can recognize the original by its characteristic clarity and the brand stamp on the base.

Every Universel glass is thermally tempered. As a result, it is up to 2.5 times stronger than ordinary glass and can withstand temperature shocks from freezer to dishwasher. Should the glass ever break, it shatters into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards. This makes the Universel particularly suitable for families with children and busy restaurants.

The Universel glasses are stackable, so they take up little cupboard space. The different sizes are ideal for water, juice, wine, or a French-style espresso. Thanks to the tempered glass, the glasses retain their clear appearance for years, even after hundreds of dishwasher cycles.

Order your Duralex Universel glasses from Glazen.nl and benefit from volume discounts of up to 15% and our unique 100% breakage-free guarantee during transport. All glasses can be reordered, so you can always expand or replenish your set later.
