More about gin
Malfy is a gin in which citrus takes center stage. Want to know how gin works, or how Malfy compares with other well-known gins? Start here.

Hendrick's
Scottish gin with rose and cucumber. Like Malfy, it is a gin in which something other than juniper stands out.
About Hendrick's →Gin with the sun of southern Italy
Malfy is made at Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, near Turin in Piedmont. They use water from Piedmont and hand-picked juniper for the gin. The brand is now owned by Pernod Ricard. The name and sunny bottles refer to the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy, where the lemons for Con Limone come from.
Malfy is a modern-style gin. Juniper is present, but citrus takes center stage. With Originale, it is still subtle: a dry gin with Italian lemon alongside the juniper. The other three each focus on one fruit. Con Limone has sun-ripened lemons and Amalfi lemon peel, Con Arancia has Sicilian blood orange, and Rosa has pink grapefruit from Sicily. All four are 41% ABV, which helps them hold their own in a gin and tonic. And unlike many fruity gins, the taste is fresh and not sweet.
In brief
Four gins, four types of citrus
Gall & Gall sells the entire standard Malfy range: the dry Originale and the three gins with lemon, blood orange and pink grapefruit.

Malfy Con Limone
The best-known Malfy, in the yellow bottle. Sun-ripened Italian lemons and Amalfi lemon peel alongside the juniper. Fresh and juicy.

Malfy Originale
The drier base of the brand, with juniper and a hint of Italian lemon. The most classic of the four.

Malfy Con Arancia
Italian oranges and Sicilian blood orange. Juicy and slightly bitter, without becoming sweet.

Malfy Rosa
Sicilian pink grapefruit and Italian lemon. Fresh and slightly bitter, despite the pink bottle.

Fresh, citrusy and slightly bitter
Lemon & juniper
Fresh lemon peel and its oil, with juniper in the background. With Arancia and Rosa, you mainly smell orange and grapefruit.
Juicy and dry
A juicy, fresh taste with a slightly bitter note from the peel. The gin tastes dry, not sweet.
Fresh and citrusy
A fresh finish with citrus and a hint of juniper. Short to medium-long.
Flavor profile of Malfy Con Limone. Originale scores lower on fruitiness and higher on spiciness; Arancia and Rosa are just as fresh but slightly more bitter.
Three ways to drink Malfy
Malfy is made for long, refreshing drinks. With a neutral tonic and a garnish of the same fruit, you can’t go wrong.
As gin and tonic
5 cl Malfy with 15 cl chilled tonic, in a large glass full of ice. Garnish with the fruit from the bottle: lemon with Con Limone, orange with Arancia, grapefruit with Rosa.
Gin and tonic recipe →In a Negroni
Equal parts gin, Campari and red vermouth over a large ice cube. With Con Arancia, the Negroni gets extra orange, which pairs well with the bitterness.
Negroni recipe →In a Tom Collins
Gin, fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup, topped up with sparkling water. With Con Limone, it becomes an almost Italian lemonade for adults.
Tom Collins recipe →Cocktails with Malfy
A gin with plenty of citrus works in any refreshing cocktail. These are the recipes to start with.

Gin and tonic
Gin, tonic and plenty of ice, with a slice of the fruit from the bottle.
Negroni
Gin, Campari and red vermouth. Even more Italian with Con Arancia.
Tom Collins
Gin, lemon, sugar and sparkling water. Long and refreshing.
